Bännreiser, Haidacker & Aubühel: 3 of the best sites for their Anna-Christina wine. Zweigelt from the nutrient-rich Haidacker soil where the fresh winds from the nearby Danube give a lively texture and fruitiness. Merlot, that gets its fullness and strength from the combination of deep soils and warmth of the Bännreiser site and finally the Cabernet Sauvignon from Aubühel who's warm and sandy soil brings out the grapes' full potential. All 3 varieties are handpicked. Carefully fermented separately they are left in new French oak barrels for 20 months. Afterwards, the wines from each barrel are tasted and checked for the desired anna-chrisina qualities.
