In 1989 Luis Duarte graduated with a 1st degree in oenology and became one of the best of a new generation of winemakers in Portugal. He was chosen 3 times wine maker of the year. A first time even at the age of 27 and in 2010, he was even among the last 6 nominees for the best wine maker in the world. Its wines are characterized by unprecedented complexity and remarkable elegance.
